Meet The Creator
Smith McNeill is a 25-year-old educator, historian, and innovator dedicated to making history meaningful, engaging, and accessible to all learners. He earned his Bachelor of Science in History from Appalachian State University, along with an Applied Public History Certificate from the Univeristy of London, equipping him with both academic training and practical expertise in historical interpretation and preservation. Smith has also completed AI in Education certification training, preparing him to integrate emerging technologies into classrooms and lead professional development initiatives for fellow educators.
Now in his third year teaching 8th grade Social Studies at West Wilkes Middle School, Smith is the visionary behind this U.S. History Archive — a comprehensive and ever-evolving resource that houses hundreds of curated materials for students, educators, and historians. Designed to promote research, classroom instruction, and independent study, the archive stands as a testament to his dedication to educational innovation, historical accuracy, and lifelong learning.
As a living archive, the project continues to expand through new contributions and discoveries. Smith invites collaboration, whether through sharing resources, offering feedback, or exploring new educational initiatives.
